Belize thanks Taiwan for equipment donation to Police Department

By Belize Live News Staff: The Government of Belize, through its Minister of Home Affairs and New Growth Industries, and the Commissioner of Police, Chester Williams, has formally expressed appreciation to the Republic of China (Taiwan) for a recent donation to the Belize Police Department.

In a statement, Belize extended its gratitude to Dr. Tsai Ming-Yen, Director General of Taiwan’s embassy in Belize, for facilitating the donation, which has provided the police force with much-needed equipment. The contribution is aimed at strengthening the department’s capacity to maintain public safety and improve its operational effectiveness.
Belizean authorities highlighted the significance of the donation, stating it would enable the police to better serve and protect communities across the country. The government also emphasized the long-standing partnership between Belize and Taiwan, praising their strong diplomatic ties and ongoing cooperation in various sectors, including security.
The statement concluded with Belize expressing optimism about continued collaboration with Taiwan, which both countries see as beneficial to their mutual interests.
