By Belize Live News Staff: Belize is currently experiencing a delightful mix of sun and clouds, with isolated showers primarily gracing the coastal and offshore regions this morning.
While the majority of the country enjoys a relatively dry day, residents in the central and southern areas might encounter a few showers or thunderstorms later today.
The seas remain calm with light and variable winds, providing favorable conditions for maritime activities.
However, the National Meteorological Service (NMS) has issued a tropical storm watch as a developing weather system in the northwestern Caribbean Sea shows signs of strengthening.
This system could potentially evolve into a tropical depression or storm within the next 48 hours and is projected to move northward, possibly impacting the southeastern Gulf of Mexico.
Looking ahead to Tuesday, cloudy skies will prevail with the possibility of scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms, especially along the coast and offshore areas in the morning.
As the day progresses, the focus of shower activity is expected to shift towards the northern and central regions, particularly early Tuesday night.
