By Belize Live News Staff: San Pedro, Ambergris Caye, will experience a brief power interruption this afternoon.
Belize Electricity Limited (BEL) has scheduled a five-minute outage from 3:00 p.m. to 3:05 p.m. today, Sunday, September 15th, 2024.
The outage is necessary to facilitate the transfer of load from the Mobile Substation to the main power transformer at the Maskall Substation.
BEL apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause.
Residents and businesses on the island are encouraged to take necessary precautions and unplug sensitive electronic equipment during the outage.
