Masked men terrorize San Pedro barbershop, shoot owner

Police officer charged with wounding common-law wife

By Belize Live News Staff: An armed robbery unfolded in San Pedro last night, leaving a barber hospitalized with gunshot wounds.

Roderick Coleman, 38, was working in his barbershop around 10 p.m. when three masked men stormed in. They demanded to see the owner, and when Coleman said he wasn’t there, they shot him in both legs.

The gunmen then proceeded to rob everyone in the shop before fleeing the scene. Coleman was rushed to the San Pedro Polyclinic and is expected to be airlifted to Belize City for further treatment.

Police are investigating the incident and urge anyone with information to come forward.
