By Belize Live News Staff: Police are investigating a theft that occurred at the Border Restaurant on 1st Street South in Corozal Town on September 8, 2024.
The owner of the restaurant reported that an unknown male entered the establishment and took the key for the slot machine from behind the counter. The individual then proceeded to the machine and stole an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing the scene.
The stolen money is valued at US $197.00. Police have identified a person of interest in the theft and investigations are ongoing.
