By Belize Live News Staff: Authorities in the Corozal District are searching for Edwin Marin, who has been named as the prime suspect in the fatal shooting of Natasha Clarke and Deysha Hill earlier today in Corozal Town.
The incident reportedly took place just before 11 a.m. on Second Street North. According to police, Marin was involved in a dispute with Clarke and Hill, the latter of whom shares a child with him. During the altercation, Marin allegedly opened fire, killing both women before fleeing the scene.
Officials confirmed that Marin has a prior history of domestic violence, having been charged in a similar case five years ago. However, details regarding his release from prison have not been made public.
The police are asking for the public’s help in locating Marin. Anyone with information is urged to contact the nearest police station or call emergency numbers 911 or 922.
