By Belize Live News Staff: A man was shot and killed in Cotton Tree early Sunday morning, and police say it was all over a woman. Otoniel Perez Mateo was at home when two men showed up at his door. A fight broke out, and Mateo was fatally shot.
ACP Hilberto Romero, who leads the Eastern Division, said the suspects are known to both police and the victim. The motive behind the killing appears to be a conflict over a woman that had been brewing for some time.
Police are on the hunt for the two suspects as their investigation continues.
