Belizean culture takes center stage in Brooklyn this September

By Belize Live News Staff: Brooklyn is set to come alive with the vibrant spirit of Belize on September 7th, 2024, as the NYC Belize Parkfest takes over Industry City. This highly anticipated event will offer a unique cultural immersion, featuring live music, traditional dances, authentic cuisine, and community empowerment initiatives.

The festival will run from 4:00 PM to Midnight at Industry City, Courtyard ½, 2nd Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11233. Its focus is on celebrating Belizean culture, fostering community engagement, and empowering individuals through cultural appreciation and collaboration. Attendees can expect live performances, cultural dance troupes, traditional Garifuna drumming, and a chance to sample authentic Belizean cuisine, crafts, and products.

The event also features a community empowerment component, with government officials, business leaders, and community organizers discussing initiatives on entrepreneurship, health & wellness, and cultural preservation.

Proceeds from the festival will support quality-of-life initiatives in Belize, including education and medical assistance. The NYC Belize Parkfest invites all New Yorkers, Belizeans, and friends of Belize to join in this day of cultural celebration and community building.
