By Belize Live News Staff: Belize is set to enjoy a day of mostly sunny skies with some cloudy spells today, according to the latest forecast from the National Meteorological Service. While showers and thunderstorms will generally be isolated, residents in the south and coastal areas might experience a few more later tonight.
Temperatures will range from a warm 88 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast to a hot 93 degrees inland. Hilly regions will experience milder temperatures, with highs of 81 degrees.
Mariners can expect choppy seas with waves reaching 3-5 feet, accompanied by easterly to northeasterly winds blowing at 5-15 knots. The good news is that no tropical cyclone formation is expected in the North Atlantic, Caribbean Sea, or Gulf of Mexico over the next 48 hours.
Looking ahead to Friday, expect cloudy skies at times with a few showers and isolated thunderstorms. These showers will primarily affect the south and coastal areas in the morning, moving to central and northern regions in the afternoon. Friday night, showers will mostly occur over northern and coastal areas.
