While most of the country can expect generally fair weather, there’s a chance of isolated showers or thunderstorms. Southern Belize might see a slight increase in shower activity later tonight.
Marine conditions remain favorable for those heading out to sea. Expect easterly winds at 5-10 knots and slight seas with waves reaching 1-3 feet. Coastal areas will experience highs near 90°F (32°C) and lows around 83°F (28°C). Inland areas can anticipate hotter temperatures, reaching 95°F (35°C), while the hill regions will see a more comfortable range with highs near 82°F (28°C) and lows around 68°F (20°C).
Meanwhile, in the Atlantic, Hurricane Ernesto is currently located about 255 miles south-southwest of Bermuda. The storm is packing maximum sustained winds of 100 mph and is moving north-northeast at 13 mph. While Ernesto poses no immediate threat to Belize, residents are urged to stay informed about its progress.
Looking ahead to the weekend, expect continued isolated showers or thunderstorms. The southern part of the country could see an increase in shower activity on Saturday night.
