Prime Minister Briceño travels to Dominican Republic for Presidential Inauguration

PM Briceño: Nation stronger, more hopeful as independence approaches

By Belize Live News Staff: The Office of the Prime Minister announced on Wednesday that Prime Minister John Briceño has departed the country to attend the Presidential Inauguration of His Excellency Luis Abinader Corona in the Dominican Republic.

The inauguration ceremony is scheduled for August 16th. Prime Minister Briceño is expected to return to Belize on August 18th.

During his absence, Cordel Hyde, Minister of Natural Resources, Mining and Petroleum, will serve as acting Prime Minister.
