By Belize Live News Staff: A man was found dead with a severe chop wound to the back of his head near the seaside in Punta Gorda police said on Thursday. The man’s identity has not yet been confirmed.
Residents reported the discovery via social media earlier in the day. Police have not yet released an official statement, but are expected to launch an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the man’s death.
The area where the body was found has been cordoned off as a crime scene. Police are urging anyone with information to come forward.
