By Belize Live News Staff: Deannie Requena, a former Belize City Councilor and prominent entrepreneur, is in the hospital Sunday after being discovered on the George Price Highway with stab wounds to her face and neck.
A passerby found Requena around 1:30 PM near a police booth at mile 15 and brought her to the Hattieville Police Station. She was then rushed to the KHMH for treatment.
Police are investigating the attack and have not yet released any details regarding a possible suspect or motive.
