The price increases, which took effect this week, affect a range of items including plastic soft drinks, bottled water (up to the 5-gallon size), and select beers.
A company representative confirmed the price hikes, attributing them to the escalating costs of raw materials and transportation, a challenge the company has been grappling with since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Notably, the price increases do not extend to all products. Canned beverages, Belikin and Heineken beers, $1 bottled water, and pouches remain unaffected. The company representative emphasized that the decision to raise prices was made after careful consideration and only on products where the cost increases could no longer be absorbed internally.
