Hol Chan Marine Reserve hikes park fees effective August 1

Hol Chan Marine Reserve hikes park fees effective August 1

By Belize Live News Staff: The Hol Chan Marine Reserve announced on Thursday that it will increase park fees for all visitors and tour operators starting August 1, 2024. The new fee will be $15 USD across all zones within the reserve.

The reserve’s management stated that all pre-booked tours prior to the new fee structure implementation date will be honored at the old rate. However, tour operators must submit booking confirmations to the Hol Chan office to receive the previous rates.

For Belizean nationals, the fee will remain unchanged, but visitors must present a valid ID at the park entrance to avail of the Belizean rate.

This fee increase aims to bolster the reserve’s conservation efforts and maintain its pristine condition for future visitors.
