Sunny skies to give way to scattered showers and thunderstorms

Sunny skies continue as dry conditions prevail across Belize

By Belize Live News Staff: The National Meteorological Service of Belize has issued a weather advisory for this weekend, forecasting a shift from sunny skies to scattered showers and thunderstorms.

While today will start off with sunny spells, clouds will gradually build throughout the day, bringing the potential for showers and thunderstorms to develop across the country. These localized storms are most likely to occur during the afternoon and evening hours.

Overnight, cloud cover will increase, with the potential for showers and thunderstorms primarily affecting southern and coastal areas.

On Sunday, expect a predominantly cloudy day with showers and thunderstorms likely across most parts of Belize. The intensity of these showers is expected to gradually decrease as the day progresses.

Mariners should be cautious of light chop to choppy sea conditions, with waves expected to range from 2 to 5 feet.

Fortunately, there is no immediate threat of tropical cyclone formation in the region.

Residents and visitors are advised to stay updated with the latest weather forecasts and take necessary precautions, especially if planning outdoor activities or travel.
