Boy, 10, drowns in Punta Gorda pond

By Belize Live News Staff: Police are investigating an apparent drowning that occurred in the Indian Ville Extension area of Punta Gorda Town.

On Wednesday, July 24, at approximately 1:00 p.m., police responded to a report and were informed by 49-year-old Bernardo Cho that his ten-year-old son, Jazer Cho, had fallen into a nearby pond and drowned.

Despite attempts to perform CPR, Cho was pronounced dead at the scene.

The investigation into this incident continues.
