The Belize Trade and Investment Development Service (BELTRAIDE) has officially opened applications for the prestigious BLAZE Awards 2024. These awards are designed to celebrate and honor the innovative, resilient, and impactful contributions of entrepreneurs across various sectors. Winners will receive recognition and validation for their hard work, along with access to new opportunities, including networking, mentorship, and potential funding.
The BLAZE Awards will recognize excellence in six distinct categories:
- Great Blue Entrepreneur of the Year Award (The Blue Economy)
- Honoring entrepreneurs who lead the sustainable use of ocean resources, ensuring economic growth while preserving marine ecosystems.
- Sustainable Entrepreneur of the Year Award (The Green Economy)
- Celebrating those dedicated to environmental stewardship and sustainable practices within the Green Economy, from renewable energy to green construction.
- Creative Entrepreneur of the Year Award (The Orange Economy)
- Recognizing innovative minds driving the cultural, creative, and artistic industries, from filmmaking to digital content creation.
- Youth Entrepreneur of the Year Award
- Highlighting young entrepreneurs (under 35) making significant strides and bringing fresh ideas to the business world.
- Female Entrepreneur of the Year Award
- Honoring outstanding female entrepreneurs who demonstrate exceptional leadership, innovation, and impact in their industries.
- Disruptor of the Year Award
- Celebrating entrepreneurs revolutionizing their industries with groundbreaking ideas, products, or services.
Applications are now open and will close on October 31, 2024. Interested entrepreneurs are encouraged to submit their applications via this form.
Established by BELTRAIDE, the BLAZE Awards aim to support entrepreneurial excellence across various sectors in Belize. They highlight the innovative and transformative work being done by entrepreneurs making a positive impact on the Belizean society and economy. Winners will be announced on November 30, 2024, at the ENTRECON Awards Gala.
