By Belize Live News Staff: Rayshawn Middleton, a 23-year-old resident of Dangriga Town, is hospitalized with multiple gunshot wounds after a violent incident at a wake early Saturday morning.
According to a police report, Middleton intervened when a group of men attempted to steal his friend’s motorcycle. An altercation ensued, during which one of the assailants fired two shots, striking Middleton in the abdomen and back. The suspects fled the scene, leaving Middleton injured.
Authorities responded to the incident, apprehending four men for questioning in connection with the shooting. Middleton is currently receiving treatment at the Western Regional Hospital, where his condition is being monitored.
