For 36 years, Williams served as a cornerstone of the organization, leaving an indelible mark on both staff and volunteers.
Described as a man who consistently went above and beyond, Williams embodied the true spirit of the Peace Corps. He tirelessly worked to support staff in achieving the organization’s goals while warmly welcoming volunteers and helping them adjust to their new home.
Williams’ commitment to service was evident in every aspect of his work. He frequently shared a favorite quote with colleagues: “The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.” – Mahatma Gandhi. This sentiment resonated deeply with those who knew him, as Williams exemplified selflessness and dedication in all his endeavors.
