By Belize Live News Staff: The National Meteorological Service of Belize has issued its morning forecast, indicating relatively moist conditions across the country today. While skies will be predominantly sunny, residents can expect cloudy spells throughout the day.
The forecast predicts a few showers and isolated thunderstorms in most areas this morning, gradually decreasing in intensity by the afternoon. Tonight, isolated showers or thunderstorms are expected, with a higher chance of activity in the southern regions.
Temperatures will vary across the country, with coastal areas experiencing highs of 88°F (31°C) and lows of 82°F (28°C). Inland areas will be warmer, ranging from 94°F (34°C) to 74°F (23°C), while the hills will see temperatures between 78°F (26°C) and 68°F (20°C).
Marine conditions will be choppy due to E-NE winds at 10-20 knots, with waves reaching 3-5 feet.
The good news is that no tropical cyclone formation is expected in the North Atlantic, Caribbean Sea, or Gulf of Mexico within the next 48 hours.
Looking ahead to Sunday and Sunday night, the forecast predicts mainly fair weather conditions. However, there is a chance of isolated showers or thunderstorms, particularly in the southern regions on Sunday night.
