By Belize Live News Staff: Belizeans are making the most of a sunny Wednesday morning as forecasters predict the arrival of a weak tropical wave later in the day. The National Meteorological Service of Belize has issued an advisory, anticipating an increase in showers, particularly in the southern parts of the country.
As of this morning, clear skies and pleasant temperatures prevail, with coastal areas enjoying a balmy 88°F (31°C) and inland regions experiencing slightly warmer conditions. Hilly areas offer a refreshing escape from the heat, with temperatures hovering around 82°F (28°C).
The approaching tropical wave, while not expected to develop into a cyclone, will usher in cloudy skies and scattered showers by this evening. Mariners should exercise caution as easterly winds and choppy seas are anticipated.
Looking ahead to Thursday, the forecast remains generally fair, with isolated showers possible throughout the day and a higher chance of showers in the south. The National Meteorological Service advises residents to stay informed about weather updates and take necessary precautions as the tropical wave passes through the region.
