By Belize Live News Staff: A Belize City man lost his life in a shooting early this morning. Police responded to reports of gunfire in Pitts Alley and discovered Dion Bowden, a 50-year-old laborer, deceased at the scene.
Bowden suffered multiple gunshot wounds. He was rushed to Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The motive behind the shooting remains unclear, and police are investigating.
The shooting occurred around 1:45 am, and witnesses reported seeing a gunman fleeing the scene on foot. Investigators have recovered four expended casings and one slug from the area.
Police are appealing for any information that could lead to the arrest of the perpetrator.
