By Belize Live News Staff: The Ministry of Infrastructure Development and Housing (MIDH) advises the public that the Coastal Plains Highway is now open for access. Water levels have receded following recent flooding.
Drivers are advised to exercise caution as further rainfall is expected throughout the weekend. Road conditions will continue to be closely monitored.
The MIDH reminds all road users to:
Drive with care and attention
Observe the water depth gauges at floodway
Use seat belts
Adhere to posted speed limits
Do not drink and drive
Do not text and drive
