By Belize Live News Staff: A mid-day shooting in the Majestic Alley area has left one person injured and authorities searching for two suspects.
An eyewitness reported observing two individuals on a motorcycle firing shots down the alley around noon today. The witness, who is a licensed firearm holder, engaged the suspects, returning fire with his personal weapon.
Shortly after, a young man arrived at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital (KHMH) suffering from a gunshot wound. He recounted being caught in the crossfire while walking through the alley.
Police have recovered several spent shells at the scene and are actively investigating the incident. The motive for the shooting remains unclear at this time.
