Belize Weather: Showers and thunderstorms continue

By Belize Live News Staff: Moist and unstable conditions persist over Belize, with the National Meteorological Service forecasting continued showers and thunderstorms across the country.

Today, cloudy skies with scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected, particularly in northern and inland areas. These conditions will extend to most areas by tonight, with a focus on the north.

Mariners are advised to exercise caution, with winds expected to be easterly to southeasterly at 10-20 knots, gusting. Seas will be moderate to rough, with waves reaching 5-7 feet. A small craft caution is in effect.

Temperatures will vary across the country, with highs reaching 93°F (34°C) in inland areas and lows around 70°F (21°C) in the hills.

The forecast for Monday and Monday night calls for cloudy conditions with showers or thunderstorms primarily affecting central and northern areas.
