By Belize Live News Staff: A warm and dry airflow from the east to southeast is setting the tone for today’s weather across Belize, with temperatures soaring and minimal rainfall expected.
The National Meteorological Service reports that today will be sunny and hot countrywide. The highest temperatures will be recorded in inland areas, reaching up to 100°F (38°C), while the coast will remain warm at 91°F (33°C). Tonight, conditions will be partly cloudy with little chance of rain, except for isolated evening thunderstorms in the Maya Mountain region.
Winds will be gentle, blowing from the east to southeast at 5 to 15 knots. Sea conditions will be stable with a light chop and wave heights between 2 and 4 feet.
There are no tropical systems expected to develop in the region within the next 48 hours. As the new week begins, Monday is forecasted to continue with fair and warm weather during the day. However, by Monday night, showers and thunderstorms are likely to increase over southern and coastal areas.
Today’s tide schedule includes a low at 7:38 a.m., a high at 1:47 p.m., and a second low at 9:22 p.m. The next high tide will occur at 3:33 a.m. on Monday. The moon will rise at 10:42 a.m. and set at 11:41 p.m.
