By Belize Live News Staff: Belize’s weather continues its mostly dry trend today with sunshine and warm temperatures forecast across the country, though meteorologists are keeping an eye on the southern and coastal areas where nighttime showers or thunderstorms may develop.
While inland regions like Cayo and Orange Walk will stay largely dry and hot, communities near the coast—including Placencia, Dangriga, and Punta Gorda—should prepare for possible evening rainfall.
Winds are forecast from the east at 10–20 knots, with gusts at times, leading to rough seas and wave heights between 5 and 7 feet. The Small Craft Caution remains in place, and boaters are advised to take extra precautions.
Daytime highs will peak around 95°F inland, while the coast will see highs near 89°F. Nighttime temperatures are expected to drop to the mid-70s inland and low 80s along the coast.
This evening’s moonrise and sunset may be obscured in some areas due to patchy clouds, but overall visibility should remain fair.
Saturday is shaping up to follow the same weather trend—mostly dry conditions by day with some scattered showers returning in the evening, particularly in the south.
