By Belize Live News Staff: The Government of Belize has officially launched its new Online Criminal Records Registry (CRR), marking a major leap forward in the country’s digital transformation agenda.
The new system, unveiled through a collaboration between the Ministry of Home Affairs & New Growth Industries and the Ministry of E-Governance, will allow the public to apply for, pay for, and receive Police Records of Conduct entirely online. Users will also receive real-time updates via SMS or email, making the entire process more transparent and efficient.
Minister of Home Affairs Kareem Musa said the initiative aligns with the government’s goal to modernize the justice system and improve access to public services across the country.
For those who still prefer in-person assistance, applications can also be submitted at designated police stations in Corozal, Orange Walk, Belize City, Belmopan, Benque, San Ignacio, Dangriga, Independence, and Punta Gorda.
Training for the new system took place earlier this year, with 16 officers from the Belize Police Department gaining hands-on experience at the National Police Training Academy.
The system is now live at www.crr.gov.bz.
