By Belize Live News Staff: Belizeans are waking up to a tranquil start of May as meteorologist Michelle Augustine reports mostly fair weather across the country. Today’s forecast predicts sunny skies mixed with a few cloudy intervals and only isolated showers during the day and night.
Ideal weather continues to hold as the dry season progresses, creating excellent conditions for outdoor activities, marine tours, and agricultural tasks.
Winds from the east at 5 to 15 knots will keep things breezy without disrupting sea travel. Light chop and moderate wave activity (2-4 feet) make for good boating conditions.
Temperatures will peak at 94°F inland, 87°F along the coast, and around 80°F in the hills—typical for this time of year. Overnight lows will dip into the low 70s and mid-60s depending on location.
The outlook for Friday and Friday night suggests continuity, with more mostly fair weather and only isolated showers on the radar.
For those watching the skies, sunrise today was at 5:26 AM and sunset will be at 6:13 PM, with the moon rising at 8:55 AM and setting at 10:45 PM.
