Highway traffic disrupted after vehicle fire near Sandhill

By Belize Live News Staff: A vehicle fire near Mile 19 on the Philip Goldson Highway caused major disruptions to traffic this afternoon, prompting emergency response teams to rush to the scene.

Flames consumed the vehicle in a matter of minutes, sending thick plumes of smoke into the sky and drawing the attention of passing motorists and nearby residents. Bystanders captured footage of the dramatic blaze as drivers slowed down or pulled over for safety.

Fortunately, there were no immediate reports of injuries, and it remains unclear what triggered the fire. Firefighters arrived shortly after and worked quickly to extinguish the flames while police managed traffic around the area.
