By Belize Live News Staff: Belmopan Comprehensive School has released a statement following two concerning incidents on campus. On April 2nd, a fight broke out between two male students. With the intervention of the community policing unit, the matter was swiftly addressed, and the school day continued without further incident.
However, the next day brought an anonymous tip to the CIB about a potential plan involving weapons. Law enforcement officials conducted a precautionary sweep of the school grounds. Thankfully, no weapons were discovered.
The school administration has called on parents to engage in open conversations with their children about the dangers of violence, bullying, and threats, emphasizing that such behavior constitutes a criminal offense.
School operations remain uninterrupted, and staff continue to prioritize student safety.
