The incident occurred around 6:15 p.m. on Saturday in the San Pedro Belize Express water taxi parking lot, where Smith was reportedly with two other men when he was targeted.
Initial reports suggest that Smith may have sustained serious injuries, but conflicting information remains about whether he was shot in the head or grazed during the attack. Emergency responders arrived quickly, transporting Smith to Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital (KHMH) for treatment. Medical personnel are still assessing his condition.
