By Belize Live News Staff: Belizeans can expect a mostly fair and warm Sunday, as sunny skies and a few cloudy spells dominate the forecast. The Belize Meteorological Service reports isolated showers may develop later tonight, mainly in coastal areas, but overall, dry conditions will persist for most of the country.
Winds will be blowing from the east to southeast at 10-20 knots, keeping marine conditions at a moderate state with waves reaching 4-6 feet. Although the seas will be relatively calm, mariners should remain cautious of occasional gusty winds that may create choppy waters offshore.
Temperatures will soar today, especially inland, reaching 92°F (33°C), while the coast will remain at a warm 88°F (31°C), and the hills at a comfortable 80°F (27°C). By nightfall, temperatures will cool down slightly, with lows of 78°F (26°C) along the coast, 70°F (21°C) inland, and 65°F (18°C) in hilly areas.
Looking ahead to Monday, the country can expect a few showers scattered throughout the day, but these will gradually decrease by nighttime.
Tidal information for today includes a low tide at 6:29 AM, followed by high tide at 12:11 PM. Another low tide is expected at 6:55 PM, with a high tide returning at 12:40 AM. The sun will set today at 5:54 PM, while the moon is scheduled to rise at 9:25 PM.
Forecaster Francisca Wellington encourages Belizeans to enjoy the warm and breezy weather today, while those on the coast should prepare for an increase in showers later this evening.
