By Belize Live News Staff: A gusty east-southeasterly airflow will dominate Belize’s weather today, bringing warm temperatures, clear skies, and dry conditions across the country. According to the Belize Meteorological Service, today’s forecast calls for sunny skies with little to no rainfall, making it an ideal day for outdoor activities. However, gusty winds will be a key factor, particularly for those engaging in marine and coastal activities.
Winds are expected to range from 10-20 knots, occasionally becoming gusty, leading to rough sea conditions. Waves will reach heights between 5 and 7 feet, prompting authorities to issue a Small Craft Caution. Operators of small vessels are advised to proceed with caution or remain in safe harbor.
Temperatures will climb to a high of 86°F (30°C) along the coast, 90°F (32°C) inland, and 77°F (25°C) in the hills. Overnight, temperatures will cool slightly to 80°F (27°C) on the coast, 70°F (21°C) inland, and 65°F (18°C) in higher elevations.
Looking ahead, Friday is expected to bring slightly more cloud cover with a few scattered showers, particularly over northern and central Belize. However, by Friday night, showers will diminish, and fair weather will return.
The tide schedule for today includes a high tide at 10:56 AM, a low tide at 4:42 PM, and another high tide at 10:46 PM. Tomorrow’s first low tide is set for 5:35 AM. The sun rose at 6:20 AM and will set at 5:53 PM. The moon will set at 7:05 AM and rise again at 7:02 PM.
Forecaster Michelle Augustine reminds residents and visitors to enjoy today’s warm and sunny conditions while being mindful of gusty winds, particularly if heading out to sea.
