By Belize Live News Staff: The People’s United Party (PUP) has officially announced that Marconi Leal, the current area representative for Belize Rural North, will not be contesting the upcoming General Elections.
According to a statement from the Office of the Secretary General, Leal’s decision comes after careful consultation with his family, the Belize Rural North (BRN) Executive Committee, and the PUP leadership. He has opted to step away from electoral politics to focus on personal matters.
The PUP expressed appreciation for Leal’s years of service, crediting him for his leadership, dedication, and contributions to the development of Belize Rural North. Despite stepping aside, Leal has pledged his full support in selecting and endorsing a new Standard Bearer for the constituency.

Reaffirming its commitment to strengthening Belize Rural North, the PUP thanked constituents for their continued support and assured them of a united campaign effort moving forward.
