By Belize Live News Staff: Authorities are investigating the death of 58-year-old James P. Cristie, whose lifeless body was discovered early this morning near the corner of Landivar Street and 3rd Street in the Kings Park neighborhood of Belize City.
Police were alerted to the scene at around 6:30 a.m. by the police control room. Cristie, a resident of the same intersection, was found lying face up on the street. Identification was confirmed through a driver’s license found in his possession.
Initial inspections of the body revealed no visible injuries, and police do not currently suspect foul play. The scene was processed and photographed by a Scenes of Crime Technician before Cristie’s body was transported to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital (KHMH).
The body remains at KHMH awaiting a doctor’s official pronouncement of death. Investigators are continuing their efforts to determine the circumstances surrounding Cristie’s death.
