Vista Del Mar home burgled while owner missing

By Belize Live News Staff: Authorities in Ladyville Village are investigating a burglary at a residence in Vista Del Mar that occurred sometime between Monday evening and Tuesday afternoon. The incident was reported by a relative, who discovered the theft while the homeowner was away.

The perpetrator(s) reportedly gained entry by breaking a glass window on the western side of the elevated wooden house. Once inside, the thieves made off with several items, including a black crock pot valued at $95, a trimming machine set worth $75, two empty 5-gallon crystal water bottles priced at $25 each, a roll of duct tape valued at $10, and various grocery items. The total estimated loss is around $230.

The homeowner has not been seen since early January, raising additional concerns. Police are investigating and are urging anyone with information about the incident to contact the Ladyville Police Station.

Authorities are encouraging residents to report suspicious activity and to take preventative measures to secure their homes. Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
