By Belize Live News Staff: Tragedy struck the Old Capital once again as a third murder was recorded for the year. Authorities confirm that a man was fatally shot on Amandala Drive earlier today.
According to witnesses, a late-model Ford SUV was ambushed by a hail of bullets, leaving twelve bullet holes visible on the driver’s side window. The shooting occurred near the St. Martin de Porres Primary School compound, fortunately before students were dismissed.
Police officers responding to the scene discovered the vehicle locked, prompting them to use a rock to break the left rear passenger window to access the interior.
As of now, the identity of the victim has not been released, and police have launched an investigation.
