By Belize Live News Staff: The Ministry of Public Service has released an official memo detailing changes to office hours during the Christmas holidays.
According to the announcement, government offices will close at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, December 24, 2024, and Tuesday, December 31, 2024, to allow employees to prepare for the festivities. Additionally, offices will remain closed for the entire day on Friday, December 27, 2024.
The Ministry emphasized that essential services and revenue-collecting departments will continue their operations as usual. Staff in these roles will have the additional days credited to their annual vacation leave.
It was also clarified that any vacation leave previously approved for the specified dates will remain unaffected and will not be deducted from employees’ leave balances.
The Ministry extended its heartfelt wishes for a safe and joyous holiday season, urging everyone to take care and enjoy the celebrations.
