By Belize Live News Staff: Police are investigating the murder of Wilmer Che, 25, who was found with his throat slashed and multiple stab wounds to the chest.
A post-mortem examination conducted on Thursday at the Southern Regional Hospital Morgue in Dangriga confirmed the cause of death as hypovolemic shock due to severe blood loss. Che, initially referred to as John Doe No. 32, was later identified by his uncle, Felix Reigoberto Coc, a farmer from Red Bank Village.
Police have not yet named any suspects, and investigations are ongoing.
Authorities are appealing to the public for information that could aid in the case. Che’s murder adds to a growing list of violent crimes in the Stann Creek District, raising alarms about safety in the area.
