Belize Weather Update – Unstable conditions with scattered showers expected

Fair skies and light showers expected today; Hurricane Melissa no threat to Belize

By Belize Live News Staff: Unstable and moist conditions will continue to affect Belize throughout the day, with occasional showers, periods of rain, and isolated thunderstorms forecasted in different areas. The Belize Meteorological Service has advised that these conditions are expected to ease somewhat by night, with showers becoming more isolated.

Light and variable winds will contribute to relatively calm marine conditions, with slight seas and waves between 1 to 3 feet. Despite occasional rain, the weather remains favorable for most outdoor activities, especially along the coast.

Temperatures are projected to reach 86°F (30°C) along the coast, 89°F (32°C) inland, and 77°F (25°C) in the hill regions during the day. Overnight, the temperatures will cool to 75°F (24°C) on the coast, 70°F (21°C) inland, and 65°F (18°C) in the hills, offering a refreshing night ahead.

The tropical weather outlook confirms that no cyclone development is expected over the North Atlantic, Caribbean Sea, or the Gulf of Mexico within the next 48 hours. However, isolated thunderstorms could still develop near coastal areas and the south on Tuesday night.

High tides are expected today at 7:08 AM and 7:52 PM, with low tides at 1:53 PM today and 1:54 AM tomorrow. Sunset is at 5:31 PM today, while sunrise will occur at 5:46 AM tomorrow.

Residents are encouraged to stay updated with local forecasts and take necessary precautions in case of sudden thunderstorms.
