By Belize Live News Staff: Authorities in Orange Walk have charged a Mennonite father with 19 counts of incest, following allegations involving his two teenage daughters, aged 13 and 17.
The charges were filed after the man’s 13-year-old daughter came forward, leading to an initial 10 counts of incest against him on September 19. Shortly after, his 17-year-old daughter also reported abuse, resulting in an additional 9 charges. The accused, a member of the Shipyard Mennonite community, has been arraigned on all counts.
Authorities continue to investigate the case. Officials have withheld the suspect’s name to protect the victims’ identities as the case proceeds through the legal system.
