Police seek two men in connection with vehicle fraud and theft

By Belize Live News Staff: Police are searching for Melbourne Wade and Sheffield Brown in connection with the reported theft of funds and a stolen vehicle. The investigation began when taxi driver Remijia Shultz of Belize City attempted to purchase a gold-colored Chrysler van she found on Facebook’s Buy and Sell for $15,000.

Upon meeting Wade in Sandhill Village, she was informed that the Chrysler was not available but was offered a dark blue Nissan Rogue as a temporary replacement for $5,000. Shultz paid the money and took possession of the vehicle.

However, she later discovered the vehicle title was under the name of Sheffield Brown, a car dealer from Iguana Street. Upon contacting Brown, she was informed that the Nissan Rogue was his and should be returned, which Shultz did. Since then, Wade has refused to communicate with Shultz.

The police are now searching for Wade and Brown in relation to this incident.
