- By Belize Live News Staff: Police have launched a thorough investigation following the discovery of 58-year-old Belhem Guzman Sr.’s body in Camalote Village, Cayo District. The lifeless body was found on Sunday, September 8th, in a secluded, bushy area just off the main road.
Guzman’s body bore the marks of a brutal attack—his hands and feet were tied with an extension cord, and he suffered chop wounds to his neck.
Authorities are working to piece together the circumstances surrounding Guzman’s death. At this time, no suspects have been identified, and the motive remains unclear.
Police are appealing to the public for any information that could assist in solving this case.
