By Belize Live News Staff: Police in Corozal District conducted a successful operation on Tuesday, September 3, resulting in the arrest of eight individuals, including a police officer, on drug-related charges.
The operation targeted the residence of 57-year-old Alicia Margarita Montalvo, where authorities discovered eight parcels of cocaine weighing a total of 9.38 kilograms (20.679 pounds).
All individuals present at the time of the search were subsequently arrested and charged with Possession of Controlled Drugs with Intent to Supply to Another. Those charged include:
