By Belize Live News Staff: A 23-year-old man was fatally shot in Belize City on Friday night, police said.
Dimitri Usher was sitting on the steps of his apartment building when an unknown assailant approached and fired several shots, striking him in the face and chest.
Usher was pronounced dead at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital on Saturday.
Police are investigating the incident and have not yet identified a suspect or motive.
