By Belize Live New Staff: The Cabinet of Belize has approved a recruitment drive for the Belize Police Department to enlist an additional 225 officers. This initiative aims to strengthen the police force’s capacity to combat crime and improve public safety, in line with the government’s #PlanBelize objectives.
The additional officers will enable the establishment of a new precinct in Santa Elena Town and bolster specialized units within the department. This expansion is expected to significantly enhance police presence and responsiveness across the country.
