By Belize Live News Staff: Mostly dry conditions will prevail across Belize today, but residents in northern and central coastal communities could experience additional showers tonight as moisture levels increase.
The National Meteorological Service says Tuesday will bring plenty of sunshine with occasional cloudy spells, providing generally favorable conditions for outdoor activities across the country.
However, cloud cover is expected to increase tonight, accompanied by isolated showers.
Forecasters indicate a high chance of a few more showers affecting northern Belize, central coastal communities and offshore waters.
Despite the expected increase in moisture, widespread rainfall is not forecast.
Daytime temperatures will climb to 90 degrees Fahrenheit inland, 87 degrees along the coast and 78 degrees in the hills.
Overnight lows will range from 64 degrees in the hills to 76 degrees along the coast, with inland communities cooling to approximately 70 degrees.
Boaters can expect relatively moderate marine conditions, with a light chop and waves of two to four feet. Winds will blow from the north to northwest at 5 to 15 knots.
For Wednesday and Wednesday night, partly cloudy to cloudy skies will continue, with isolated showers. A few additional showers could develop along central coastal and offshore areas Wednesday morning before decreasing.
There is no immediate tropical cyclone development expected, with the National Meteorological Service reporting that formation is not anticipated in the region during the next 48 hours.
