Kevin Tzib pleads not guilty, bail denied

By  Belize Live News Staff: Pastor Kevin Tzib will remain behind bars as his case moves through the courts.

The 33 year old was arraigned in San Ignacio on Thursday on six counts of sexual assault and one count of unnatural crime. He pleaded not guilty.

The court denied him bail, and he was remanded to the Belize Central Prison.

According to police, the charges stem from four separate reports made to authorities.

No details about the complainants have been released, in keeping with protections for people who report sexual offences.

Tzib is expected to return to court at a later date.

Anyone who has experienced sexual abuse is encouraged to contact the police or a trusted support organization for help.
